Quivey's Grove Sauteed Apples
4 Lg Apples
2 Tbl Butter
3 Tbl Sugar
Peel, core, and cut apples into 1" chunks.
Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
Add apples and sautee for several minutes stirring occasionly.
Add sugar and continue cooking until apples soften and sugar melts.
Raise heat to medium high and cook briefly until juices reduce.
Serve warm as a side dish.
Add cinnamon, clove, or nutmeg as desired, but I like them plain.
Good with any pork dish, duck, a filling for dessert crepes, or a topping
for ice cream. We also serve them with omelets and sauteed chicken livers.
